Palmerton Island is a small coral atoll situated among the Cook Islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is made up of sandy islets that are connected by a diamond-shaped coral reef. It is inhabited by 62 residents, all of which are descendants of an Englishman named Capt. James Cook who settled there some 150 years ago.
